Hi I am having the same problem, tried downloading onto USB before realising Samsung has Tizen OS not Android. I can mirror from laptop wirelessly and also connect via HDMI. I have read this link which sounds promising http://kodifiretvstick.com/install-kodi-smart-tvs/.

Bear in mind this is on a mid range tv not a flagship Samsung tv by any means . I'm sure on more high end models it's nowhere near as laggy. It could also be due to the fact that the Tizen version is in development. I haven't compared with Netflix or used the smart features much really.
